I haven’t confirmed if Nudestix is cruelty-free, but I can say that the products beautyblender sells there are exempt from animal testing. They only make the sponges and a soap and soap is not required to be tested on animals, but a lot of makeup still is.

Beautyblender sells at sephora in china and so does Nudestix. They both claim to be cruelty-free but if they sell to Sephora China aren’t their products being testes on animals? Therefore they are not cruelty-free, right?

When you search a product on their website they usually say if it is Cruelty-free and Vegan or just cruelty-free.

The Sephora house brand is not cruelty-free and brands sold at Sephora stores in China are not cruelty-free, but different regions carry different brands. Since not all brands sold at Sephora are sold in their locations in China (or anywhere in China for that matter), a lot of them can still be cruelty-free.

Because there are Sephora stores in China, and China requires animal testing for all cosmetics sold there, wouldn’t all Sephora products have had animal testing at some point?

They don’t have a setting powder, but I have used a lot of other brands without issue. RCMA and Cover FX are my favorites!

Whenever I have spoken to them, they have told me that the only non-vegan ingredients used are carmine and beeswax. They are both clearly labeled in ingredient lists on their packaging. I don’t know why they don’t list the ingredients online but, you can check the Sephora and Ulta sites for ingredient lists of the ABH products.

The reason they told you that about beeswax is because they use the same production equipment for all items (like most brands). It’s similar to vegan food that says it may contain traces of dairy due to shared equipment too. It doesn’t necessarily mean those ingredients are actually in the products. 🙂 Hopefully this helps explain.
