Hi Cathy,

I did receive a different response initially and spent some time trying to clear things up/get some clarity around specific things. This is why, in the most recent update, they were added to the Brands to Avoid list.

Goddess Garden Organics e-mailed me that they don’t require verification from their suppliers, doesn’t that mean that they’re a brand to avoid? I received this response from them in June:

“No, we do not test on animals, nor do we hire a third party to test on animals.
No, none of our ingredients are tested on animals.
We don’t believe that any of our suppliers test on animals, but we don’t require verification that our suppliers don’t test.
We are required to test the water resistance claims and SPF ratings by the FDA. These tests are done via a third party, but not on animals (SPF and water resistance tests are done on people).”

Did they give you a different response?

I haven’t heard back from them yet. 🙁 Keep checking the updates to see when/if I hear back.

I emailed them recently asking about it and got an email response back that basically just gave me a link to the Arcadia Groups website who own Topshop. On there they have a section about animal welfare but this is all in relation to leather and furs and not in relation to beauty products so it all appears unclear to me. I’m hoping you will have had some luck with them.

Thank you

Jordana 🙂
