Hi Tashina! The MUG website has unlinked their ingredients list for all their eye shadows. Reading how they change their formulas every so often, do you know how we can find out the new ingredients? Their mailing address and phone number don’t work, which leaves me wondering if the company is still real.

Hi,

Makeup Geek itself lists all those shades as vegan (on the shade page, click dimensions/specs and it tells you if they are vegan or not) and they are vegan. Makeup Geek does use the same ingredient label for all shades, vegan or not, and carmine is listed under “+/-” which means “may or may not contain”.

I ordered make up geek eyeshadows in Cocoa bear, frappe, latte and creme brûlée ALL of which had carmine CI75470 listed in ingredients. Your list is incorrect and misleading.

Hi Tashina! Thank you for putting together this list. I noticed on the website yesterday they have updated their vegan info section stating all the shadows that contain carmine and are not vegan. They also have individually labeled each shadow on the site as vegan or not. It seems there are many more vegan options now including Morocco and Dragonfly- two I had previously thought were not. Has anything changed in their formula? There are a few more on the site I noticed were not vegan in the past but are now vegan but I’m not sure how much I can trust their labels! Would love your input!

Thanks for this, Tashina! Much more useful than MUG’s list of non-vegan products. More intuitive to use! Also, I noticed the list on MUG’s site went down today. I’m guessing it happened as they updated. It was definitely up last night haha.
