Hi! I’m not sure. I would ask the brand.

I was confused by the statement on Milani’s site about the Keep It Full plumpers, so I reached out to them for clarification on which shades were vegan. The rep came back and said that in fact NONE are vegan, as the synthetic beeswax actually contains animal products.

Hi! The shades listed here are still vegan. Because some shades of some products are not vegan, Milani has recently adopted an all or nothing type approach to calling things vegan. If not every shade of a product is vegan, they are no longer calling any shades vegan. I think people were getting confused, buying non-vegan shades, and getting upset with the brand. This is often the case when brands change to this kind of stance.

I recently contacted Milani’s customer service to check if the Spice and All Natural shades of the Color Statement lip liners were still vegan (I saw they weren’t listed on some other vegan lists, like ethical elephant’s), and the representative told me those the product can’t be considered vegan because carmine was on a “may contain” list and didn’t confirm if those two shades actually did/didn’t have carmine. Do you know if those shades or any of the shades of the Color Statement lip liners are still vegan? Thank you so much for all the work you do!

Hi! I think this might also relate to my question – I have just checked the Milani website and there are fewer products on their ‘vegan’ list than on your list, is that because Milani are being over cautious with the +/-? For example, I have the baked bronzer and baked blush, both of which are not listed as vegan on their website but are in your list? Any help you could give would be much appreciated 🙂 x

Thanks for replying! I’ll steer clear of it. Bummer – it looked pretty. I don’t get why they can’t make all shades vegan…

I don’t believe that it is.

They use the +/- ingredient list for most products. This means that it may or may not contain those ingredients. In a lot of cases, some shades of a product are vegan but not all. Which specific products and shades were you looking at? With more information, I could provide a better response.

I’m pretty sure it’s an Ulta exclusive, but I can’t find a definitive ingredients list for that shade.

Maybe it was a glitch in their program – but does anyone know if it’s legit?
