So there are changes going into effect, but so far they don’t impact any brands.

I may be wrong. It’s all rather confusing.

I was a big wnw user with several of their products. And I will no longer be supporting animal testing.

As explained in the post, I don’t believe so. Animal testing is still a risk and the brand does admit to this.

Is this “policy” really making wnw cruelty free and able to sell in china? Thanks for all the hard wprk you do to keep us informed! ??

Too Faced was the first blow. Wet n Wild was the finishing strike. Most of my makeup is WNW. It’s affordable and readily available and I have a huge collection. Their liquid liner was a holy grail product for me. I have purchased several PR box collections. Absolutely heartbreaking.

While there are ways to avoid pre-market animal testing, post-market animal testing cannot be avoided at this time. The brands still enter the market knowing animal testing is a possibility. And, based on the dates given by Wet n Wild, they entered the market in China when post-market testing laws were more rigid.

I’m wondering if Wet n wild will be included in your “Brands to Avoid” list?

Dear Radhika: Thanks for clarifying this. It is pretty heartbreaking. I really liked Wet and Wild. I hope ELF and Essence stay cruelty free. My favorite is Flower Beauty. It is more money but I love it. Milani is also good. Thanks again. Hug your cats!

I just heard from another website that products manufactured directly in chinese mainland plants do not need animal testing, and that maybe that is what WnW has been doing to sell there while remaining cruelty free. Could this be true ?

You’re welcome, Vanessa. I wanted this piece to be helpful because it really isn’t a black & white situation and it can be really hard to navigate and understand.
